On Tuesday night, the Vandal Baseball team celebrated Teacher Appreciation Night before their district WIN over the Athens Hornets. Each player honored an educator who has made an impact on them in their time at Van High School.
The selected educators walked out on the field with the players before the game, and even threw the ceremonial first pitch of the game! The Vandals beat the Athens Hornets 4-0, remaining undefeated in district play, and snagging their 21st win of the season. They will travel to Athens on Friday to face the Hornets for the second time.
Teachers honored included Mr. Skeeters, Coach Bryant, Coach Stanfield, Mrs. Darby, Coach Parish, Mrs. Oliver, Mrs. Russell, Coach Oliver, Coach Doring, Mr. Hutchins, Coach Bachert, Mr. Jeffcoat, Coach Rainey, and Coach Williams.
