Last week, our CTE Health Science Practicum students attended a field trip to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler! Students talked to a panel of CHRISTUS employees, all with different job roles in healthcare.
After the panel, students spoke with a representative from CHRISTUS and TJC about the unveiling of a brand new scholarship available to schools attending this trip.
The trip ended with a tour of the hospital, including the helicopter pad and watching a GI procedure to learn about working in Pre-Op and Post-Op.
This was a great learning opportunity to expose our students to a potential career field.
