Mr. Brown sets the bar high for all of his students academically, and also provides unwavering support to help them achieve those goals. His dedication to student success and willingness to grow as a teacher is unmatched.
Mr. Brown's know that "After College Comes Opportunity" is more than just words; it's a guiding principle that shapes his teaching philosophy. He goes above and beyond to equip his students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in college and in life beyond high school.
Mr. Roach, VHS principal, had this to say, "When I think of Mr. Brown, the word dependable comes to my mind. He is at work every day, teaches every day, and he truly cares for our students.Mr. Brown sets the bar high for all of his students academically, and also provides unwavering support to help them achieve those goals. His dedication to student success and willingness to grow as a teacher is unmatched. Mr. Brown takes "After College Comes Opportunity" to heart. He works very hard to prepare his students for college and life after high school, which is evident from student work and student testimony. The district surprised Mr. Brown with a bouquet of flowers from our very own floral design students, a yard sign, a plaque, and a $1,000 check from the Van ISD Education Foundation! His wife, Amy, and his son, Nathan, even surprised him!
