Parental Involvement & Family Engagement Plan 2021-2022
Family engagement is the mutual responsibility of families, school, and communities which builds relationships to support student learning and achievement and to support family well-being, family-student relationships and ongoing learning and development of children, families, and educators. Family engagement is fully integrated in the child’s educational experience and supports the whole child. To this end, J.E. Rhodes is committed to working together with parents to promote high achievement for students.
Grade level TEKS for the students of VAN ISD are available online and can be accessed by parents, with the expectation that all students will work toward mastering the TEKS. We recognize that some students may need extra assistance through the Title I Program, as well as other programs to reach these goals. Van ISD intends to include parents in all aspects of the district’s Title I Program. The goal is a school-home partnership that will help all students in the district succeed.
