Second grade teacher, Emily Brown, was nominated as Van ISD's Teacher of the Month for the month of March! Ms. Brown has been teaching for 2 years, and she is currently teaching 2nd grade math.
Local State Farm Agent, Zach Pruitt, surprised Ms. Brown with an Amazon and Visa gift card to celebrate this achievement!
When asked what she loves most about teaching, Ms. Brown said, "One of the greatest rewards of teaching is seeing a student's face when they are finally successful at something they've been struggling with. Seeing their progress and their faces light up because of how proud they are of themselves is absolutely priceless."
