Van Junior High's FCA Program has organized a $3 hat day TOMORROW benefitting the Young family! 🧢❤️ We are participating district-wide! Students & staff may pay $3 to wear their favorite hat to school tomorrow! #WEAREVAN

After continued monitoring of the predicted forecast, Van ISD will remain CLOSED for Friday, January 10th.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. With temperatures hovering around the freezing point tonight and tomorrow morning, we want to be especially mindful of road conditions for both our bus drivers and young drivers in the morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these changing conditions.
Stay safe and warm, Vandals! ❄️We will see you on Monday, January 13th.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, all Van ISD schools and buildings will be closed Thursday, January 9, 2025.
We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions in our area, and a decision will be made on Thursday regarding the possibility of a closure on Friday.
Please continue to monitor Van ISD’s social media channels, website, or mobile app for the most up to date information should there be any changes. Stay warm and safe, Vandals!

REMINDER: Christmas Break is right around the corner! 🎄 This Thursday, December 19th will be a 3-hour early release day! Friday, January 3rd will be a Staff Development Day, and classes will resume Monday, January 6th! 🎅

Don't forget about our Christmas In The Courtyard event tonight from 6:00-7:30 PM! There will be a giant tree lighting, pictures with Santa, and lots of family fun!! 🎄🎅

REMINDER: All campuses & buildings will be closed next week, November 25th-29th, for Thanksgiving Break! 🍂🍁 Tomorrow is a regular school day, NOT an early release!
Classes will resume Monday, December 2nd.

EARLY RELEASE FRIDAY: All Van ISD campuses will release 3 hours early on Friday, November 22nd due to the number of students and staff required to travel, and the need to use our Van ISD buses. This schedule adjustment allows our buses to complete all afternoon routes before heading to Mesquite for the playoff game.

Don't forget - Friday, November 8th is a scheduled early release day! All Van ISD campuses will dismiss 3 hours early!

Out of an abundance of caution, Van ISD will release all students 30 minutes early today, at 3:00 PM. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we want to ensure that we can get our bus riders and drivers home safely this afternoon.

POSSIBLE STORMY DISMISSAL 🌧️
Van ISD is currently monitoring the forecast for potential severe weather this afternoon. Our area is currently under a tornado watch until 6:00 PM. A decision will be made by 1:00 PM regarding a 3:00 PM release today. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we want to make sure that we can get our bus riders and drivers home safely this afternoon.
Please be weather aware and stay tuned to district communications for updates. If no announcement is made, dismissal will proceed as normal.

Red Ribbon Week is NEXT WEEK!! We can't wait to see our students & staff dressed up and ready to celebrate living a safe and drug-free life! View all campus dress-up days here: https://5il.co/2z2ig. Remember that all students must be in dress code each day.

🤝 Students and staff can wear their favorite hat to school on Thursday for a $1 donation. If you wish to make a larger donation, please contact Van High School. Please turn in all donations to your child's campus.

We are encouraging all Vandals to wear CAMO on Thursday, September 12th, in support of Nikki Tompkins, a student at Van High School.
