School Closings

In the event school must be canceled or delayed due to inclement weather, the decision to close or delay will be made between 6:00-6:30 a.m. Please refrain from calling campus administrators or the transportation department. In the case of inclement weather, Van ISD will make every attempt possible to release information through the following outlets:

In addition, the district will launch automated phone calls and text messages stating whether schools are to be open or closed are made as soon as possible to parents and staff for whom the district has current phone numbers. Please make sure your child's emergency contact information is up to date in your Skyward Family Access account in order to receive these alerts!
