Career & Technical Education

The Van ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) department helps students earn endorsements and certifications as a part of their high school diploma, and gain skills that are in high demand for career and college avenues after graduation.

Students receive technical training, learn employability skills, and acquire academic knowledge that prepares them for the competitive 21st-century workplace and lifelong success after graduating from high school. 

Van ISD students begin career exploration courses in junior high. When they get to Van High School, students have the opportunity to choose a career cluster in one or more of the following areas:

  • Healthcare Therapeutic

  • Construction Management & Inspection
